Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Cole Phelps, an LAPD detective is thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what’s right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.

Utilizing revolutionary facial animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor’s facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire blends the breathtaking action with true detective work for an unprecedented interactive experience. Solve brutal crimes, plots and conspiracies inspired by real crimes from 1947 Los Angeles, one of the most corrupt and violent times in L.A. history. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.

If you didn’t already go thru the dark corners of L.A. Noire when it came out on PS3 and Xbox 360, now is the time to do it as the Motion Scan hasn’t aged a bit even if the visuals aren’t quite up to modern standards. A must play overall. -JeuxActu

Even though the changes in this remastered version are subtle, L.A. Noire holds up as the ultimate detective simulator. If you didn’t play it back in 2011 and love the noir aesthetic and detective films, then you don’t need any clues to know that this is a must have. -Hobby Consolas

LA Noire is a very special adventure. An interactive thriller with interrogations, detective sources, charismatic characters and a great plot. Good remaster in PS4 & One and great port for Switch. -Meristation

L.A. Noire isn’t the prettiest project, but it still holds up because there isn’t anything quite like it even today. -Destructoid

Rockstar ports the underrated L.A. Noire over to The Switch and actually adds some interesting new control dynamics to the old title rather than just tossing on some gimmicks. That’s a good thing. -CGMagazine

L.A. Noire on Nintendo Switch is a fascinating experience that everyone that owns the console should try. -SpazioGames
